AURALIS TERMS
OF SERVICE.
1. Acceptance
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Auralis, including the Auralis website, mobile application, subscription checkout, waitlist, family features, AURA Chat, Live Protection, and related services. By creating an account, subscribing, joining a waitlist, downloading the app, or otherwise using Auralis, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Auralis.
2. What Auralis Is and Is Not
Auralis is an AI-powered scam protection tool designed to help users and families identify suspicious calls, messages, images, and fraud patterns. Auralis can provide live risk scoring, transcript-based analysis, suggested replies, family alerts, and safety recommendations.
Auralis is not an emergency service, law enforcement service, bank, financial advisor, legal advisor, or substitute for your own judgment. If you are in danger, call 911 or your local emergency number. Auralis does not guarantee that it will detect every scam, prevent every loss, or identify every unsafe situation.
3. FTC AI Disclosure
Auralis uses artificial intelligence, including Google Gemini and AssemblyAI, to analyze call audio, transcripts, messages, and images for scam detection. AI-generated risk scores, scam verdicts, suggested replies, and safety recommendations are probabilistic, may be inaccurate, and are not a guarantee of safety. Auralis does not guarantee the accuracy of any AI output. This disclosure is provided in accordance with U.S. Federal Trade Commission guidance on AI-generated content.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create or control an Auralis account. Users who are 13 or older may use Auralis only with verifiable parental or guardian consent, and the account must be held by a parent or guardian as the responsible account holder.
Auralis is operated by its founder and a parent/guardian as the responsible account holder. By using Auralis for a family member, dependent, or older adult, you represent that you have the right to set up and manage that use and that you will obtain any legally required consent.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
Auralis uses a hard paywall and may offer a 14-day free trial. Current listed plans are Individual at $9.99/month or $79.99/year, Family at $14.99/month or $119.99/year, Individual Pro at $19.99/month or $159.99/year, and Family Pro at $24.99/month or $199.99/year.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Auralis does not store your full payment card number on its servers. If Auralis makes any purchase available through Apple in-app purchase or another app-store channel, that purchase may also be subject to the applicable Apple or app-store terms.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled before the renewal date. You may cancel anytime, and access continues through the end of the paid billing period unless otherwise required by law or stated at checkout. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
Auralis will provide at least 30 days notice before material subscription price increases apply to an active paid plan.
6. Microphone and Audio Consent
Auralis uses the microphone only when you manually start Live Protection or otherwise choose an audio feature. Auralis does not passively record in the background. Live Protection is intended for user-initiated scam detection and coaching.
Live call audio may be streamed to transcription and AI-processing providers so Auralis can detect scam patterns and provide guidance. Auralis does not sell call audio. You are responsible for stopping Live Protection when you no longer want audio processed.
7. AI Features and Third-Party Processing
Auralis relies on third-party processors to provide the service. AssemblyAI processes live call audio for speech-to-text transcription. Google LLC, through Gemini, processes transcripts, messages, images, videos, and related context for AI scam analysis and guidance. Supabase provides authentication, database, storage, and related infrastructure. Apple may process account authentication information if you choose Sign in with Apple or another Apple authentication flow when it is offered in Auralis. OneSignal processes push-notification identifiers and delivery data. Stripe processes payments and subscription events. Deepgram may process text or audio for voice-mode transcription and text-to-speech. Resend and Brevo may process email addresses and related email-delivery data for invites, waitlist, and transactional communications. Railway hosts the Auralis backend. Vercel hosts the website and provides website analytics and performance tooling.
These providers process data only as needed to operate, secure, maintain, and improve Auralis, subject to their own terms and privacy commitments.
8. Family Features
Auralis includes family safety-circle features, including family groups, member roles, family chat, alerts, call-risk summaries, visibility controls, invite links or codes, and a family safe word. Depending on settings and permissions, family members may see shared safety activity, high-risk alerts, limited call details, chat messages, family-room AURA responses, safe-word status, and information needed to coordinate protection.
You are responsible for the family members you invite, the permissions you grant, and having permission to share information with them. Do not add someone to a family group, share call details, or disclose a safe word unless you have the right and consent to do so.
9. User-Generated Content
You may submit or upload text, images, videos, call audio, transcripts, notes, messages, links, and other content for analysis or family coordination. You are solely responsible for the content you submit and represent that you have the legal right to submit and process it through Auralis.
Auralis is an interactive computer service under 47 U.S.C. Section 230 and is not liable for user-generated content to the fullest extent permitted by law. Auralis may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or safety requirements.
10. Recording Consent and Legal Compliance
You are responsible for complying with all call-recording, wiretapping, privacy, and consent laws that apply to you and the people on a call. Some jurisdictions require all-party consent before recording, transcribing, streaming, or analyzing a conversation. Do not use Auralis in a way that violates the law or another person's rights.
11. DMCA and Copyright
Auralis respects intellectual property rights. If you believe content on Auralis infringes your copyright, send a notice to contact@tryauralis.app with your contact information, identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the allegedly infringing material, a statement of good-faith belief, a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate, and your physical or electronic signature.
Auralis may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing content after receiving a valid notice. If you believe content was removed by mistake, you may send a counter-notification to contact@tryauralis.app with the information required by the DMCA.
12. Prohibited Uses
You may not use Auralis to unlawfully record others, harass, stalk, threaten, defraud, impersonate, create false abuse reports, violate privacy rights, submit content you have no right to process, reverse engineer the service, scrape or harvest data, bypass paywalls or security controls, interfere with the service, or use the product to build scam, attack, or exploit tooling.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Auralis is not liable for financial losses, lost funds, missed scams, fraud, identity theft, personal injury, indirect losses, consequential damages, incidental damages, punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if Auralis was in use during a scam or suspicious interaction.
Auralis is not liable for AI inaccuracy, missed detections, incorrect risk scores, wrong scam verdicts, or suggested replies that do not produce the desired result. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Auralis's total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid to Auralis in the 12 months before the claim arose.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
Auralis is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Auralis disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted service, error-free operation, and detection of all scams.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Auralis and its operators from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of Auralis, your content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your violation of another person's rights.
16. Binding Arbitration
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or Auralis will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its applicable rules, except for disputes that may be brought in small claims court or claims that cannot be arbitrated under applicable law. Arbitration will take place in California, and remote participation will be permitted where available.
You and Auralis waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, private attorney general action, or representative proceeding to the fullest extent permitted by law. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days after account creation by emailing contact@tryauralis.app with the subject line Arbitration Opt-Out and the email address associated with your account.
17. Governing Law
California law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. For non-arbitrable matters, the exclusive venue will be the state or federal courts located in California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
18. EU/EEA and UK Rights
If GDPR or UK data-protection law applies, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to, and port your personal data. Auralis may rely on consent, performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and vital interests as legal bases for processing. Where data is transferred internationally, Auralis relies on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
To exercise these rights, email contact@tryauralis.app.
19. California and U.S. State Privacy Rights
California residents and residents of certain U.S. states may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, and opt out of certain processing of personal information. Auralis does not sell personal data. Auralis will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
To exercise these rights, email contact@tryauralis.app or visit https://tryauralis.app/contact.
20. Changes to These Terms
Auralis may update these Terms from time to time. If a material change affects your rights or obligations, Auralis will provide at least 30 days notice where legally required or reasonably practicable. Continued use after an updated effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
